You own the most untapped resource in the word, your mind and your potential, and it’s being shaped by everyone except the owner, YOU. (Anon)
It is inconceivable for a sports professional not to engage with a coach, to stay on top of their game they invest precious time evaluating their inner-game and their abilities, they become self-aware to turbo-charge focus, competence, self-belief and confidence in making a major change. Imagine being the best you can be, having the best relationship ever, with yourself!
Neuroplasticity: perhaps the most revolutionary finding in modern neuroscience, it is the brain's ability to change and adapt as a result of experience. Not only does it change from one day to the next, it changes from one moment to the next. Yes, potentially we are all walking around with an outdated model of our own potential – you can rewire the brain and adapt thinking (beliefs and attitudes), emotions (mindfulness and resilience), and behaviour (new healthy habits) and truly transform for lasting change. In a brain that is constantly pruning connections while making new ones, repeated, purposeful, and focused attention can lead to long-lasting personal evolution.
The brain changes as a function of where an individual puts their attention. The power is in the focus. Regular coaching sessions create a space to reflect and focused time to off-load, explore stuckness and possibilities, frustrations and overwhelm and agree actions to develop more self-control, confidence, competence, self-awareness and self-esteem, creating more choice to tune in/out, to discover more balance, clarity, better decisions and effectiveness.
"Not until we are lost, do we begin to understand ourselves". Henry David Thoreau
Wobbling is what happens when your nervous system is in unfamiliar territory and has to keep making strategic adjustments, sometimes we are ill equipped to adjust. You maybe looking for things to be different in the way you are doing life, relationships or work. You want new behaviours, some kind of change, or inner healing and self-leadership strategies to help you be YOU and restore balance when you ruminate, or it's difficult to adjust and anxiety spirals out of control.
Trauma: People are often exposed to prolonged and extreme stressful experiences, this can overwhelm our capacity to cope and we get stuck in a distressing internal struggle, trauma changes our brain chemistry and the nervous system continues to experience the world as dangerous, With PTSD, unwanted traumatic memories do not fade like normal memories do, they stay fresh and can be recalled as if we are living with the experience with no sense of the past, the ongoing reaction of fear, terror, flashbacks, are through the lens of that particular overwhelming experience. We now know our long-term memories can be changed, with a guided process it is possible to make the memory of the past feel more distant and erase the fear-based emotion
I can support you to explore and enhance your self-resources and strategies to better balance and towards post-traumatic growth – in my experience humans have a remarkable ability to move on, change and heal.

"Learning is not a newspaper, it cannot be delivered". (Anon)
Wanting to be a ‘learner-centered’ place of work goes hand in hand with ‘how do we learn at the speed of change?’ For humans, transformation is easy if it’s self-led and hugely complex if it is a requirement driven by others around you. When you shape leadership learning and development experiences to inspire change inside-out, you need to tap into ‘leading-self’ first to then get to ‘leading-others’, when leaders become genuine learners themselves - acknowledging their own vulnerabilities and uncertainties - they set a good example and help create a psychologically safe environment for others.
Using Neuro-Linguistic tools (derived from the study of excellence) widely applied to communication, relationships, decision making, self-confidence,, beliefs, fears and stress, and Brain Friendly Learning principles (training in the way people want to learn), you can develop autonomy and flexibility of thought and actions or emotional intelligence in transition times, or shape a growth mindset and culture, and it’s important to highlight current leadership paradoxes (eg.: autonomy and control, globally-minded localist) and the ‘leadership development paradox’:the individuals who receive the most development are also the ones who arguably need it the least.
Brain Friendly Learning: not many consider the way people want to learn – this cocktail of Neuro Linguistic Programming, Accelerated Learning and Neuroscience principles speeds up the design and stickiness of learning in harmony with the brain. This can revolutionize your training department and business results.
